**Season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Streams on Hulu Sept. 10**

The fifth season of the reality series *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* will debut on Hulu at midnight Eastern Time on September 10. The show, which follows a group of Mormon women known as #MomTok, will now focus heavily on the fallout from a high‑profile March 2026 scandal involving lead star Taylor Frankie Paul.

A total of five new episodes are scheduled, with the final installment airing later that same night. The drama began when video surfaced in March showing an alleged domestic‑violence incident between Paul and her former boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

Both parties filed accusations against one another and police opened investigations but ultimately declined to press charges. ABC canceled Paul’s season of *The Bachelorette* days before it was due to premiere, .

Alongside the scandal coverage, Season 5 will also feature Whitney Leavitt’s Broadway debut in *Chicago* and her announcement that this will be her last appearance on the series. The cast—consisting of Paul, Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Miranda Hope and Leavitt—remains largely intact.

ABC has indicated support for Paul’s return in a future season despite the cancellation of her *Bachelorette* run.

## Background & Context

Reality television has long capitalized on intimate portrayals of niche communities, and Mormon reality shows have carved out a dedicated audience in recent years. *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* premiered in 2022, drawing viewers with its blend of cultural insight and personal drama.

The series’ first three seasons averaged around 12 episodes each, with a mix of romantic entanglements and family dynamics that resonated with both Mormon and non‑Mormon audiences. Season 4 was marred by a production pause in early 2025 when a cast member faced allegations of harassment, prompting a temporary halt in filming.

The network later clarified that no charges had been filed, and the season resumed with minor adjustments to its narrative arc. Those incidents set the tone for Season 5’s shortened run, as producers opted to focus on fewer, more intensive storylines amid external controversies.

The decision to stream on Hulu aligns with broader industry trends, where cable networks increasingly partner with streaming platforms to reach younger demographics.

By releasing all five episodes simultaneously, the show follows a binge‑watch model that has proven successful for other reality series, such as *Love Island* and *The Circle*. This strategy also allows viewers to absorb the rapid‑fire developments surrounding Paul’s personal life without the pacing constraints of weekly episodes.

Cast interviews released on social media reveal varying perspectives on how the scandal has affected group dynamics. Some members report increased solidarity, . Others hint at tension, suggesting that the weight of media attention strains interpersonal relationships.

The show’s producers emphasize that the series will aim to balance drama with genuine empathy for its participants.

After Season 5 concludes, producers have not yet announced a definitive timeline for a sixth installment. However, ABC’s public statements regarding Paul’s future participation suggest that discussions are underway.
