Isabelle Huppert's comedy All About Corinne snags U.S. distribution

**Cohen Media Group Secures U.S. Rights to Isabelle Huppert’s “All About Corinne” Ahead of TIFF Premiere**
The U.S. distribution rights for Isabelle Huppert’s comedy *All About Corinne* have just been signed by Cohen Media Group, setting the stage for its North American debut at the Toronto International Film Festival tomorrow.
The deal was finalized by Executive Vice President Robert Aaronson and Charlotte Boucon of Indie Sales, who also handles international sales for the film.
*All About Corinne* follows background actor Corinne Maclou (Huppert) as she pursues her dream of stepping out from the shadows of the French film industry.
The movie stars a star‑packed European ensemble, including Sandrine Kiberlain, Anne Marivin, Emmanuelle Bercot, Diane Kruger, Ana Girardot and Vincent Dedienne—all playing versions of themselves.
Huppert’s involvement is especially noteworthy as she will also receive the TIFF Tribute Performer Award this year, making the festival a double celebration of her work and the film’s premiere.
## Background & Context
The screenplay and direction come from Marc Fitoussi, who first met Huppert on the sets of *Copacabana* and *Paris Follies*, and later collaborated with her on an episode of the hit French series *Call My Agent!* Fitoussi directed six episodes of that show.
His interest in the lives of actors who persist despite rejection is reflected in earlier projects such as his debut feature *La Vie d’Artiste* and the documentary *The Extras*, which explored the daily reality of background performers.
The film’s production is a co‑production between Beside Productions, Égérie Productions, Les Films du Camélia, France 3 Cinéma, Proximus, RTBF, Be TV & Orange, VOO and OBE. Caroline Bonmarchand produced the picture for Avenue B Productions. Indie Sales continues to manage international sales.
“*All About Corinne* is a smart, funny and deeply human film about perseverance and the pursuit of a dream,” said Aaronson. “Marc Fitoussi delivers a witty look at the film world, and Isabelle Huppert is extraordinary. We are thrilled to bring the film to U.S. audiences.”
Fitoussi added that the story grew from his long‑standing fascination with artists who keep chasing their ambitions in spite of rejection and uncertainty. “All About Corinne is really a film about perseverance,” he said.
“We all have ambitions – things we want to achieve, places we want to reach – and we have all experienced rejection or disappointment. I also wanted the film to pay tribute to extras and, more broadly, to actresses and the determination it takes not only to be noticed, but to remain in the game.”
## Film Synopsis & Cast
Corinne Maclou is a background actor who dreams of breaking out from her supporting roles. She believes her big break is just around the corner and maintains confidence in her eventual success. When she meets celebrated actress Sandrine Kiberlain and forms a friendship, Corinne sees a possible path to realizing her goal.
Yet she must navigate whether the elite circles of French cinema will welcome her into their “respected family.”
The film boasts a meta‑cultural layer, with Kiberlain, Marivin, Bercot,
Kruger, Girardot and Dedienne portraying themselves, adding authenticity to the narrative’s exploration of the film industry's inner workings.
## Release & Distribution Plans
Cohen Media Group’s acquisition of U.S. rights follows the film’s initial launch at Locarno, where it was introduced to international audiences. While a specific U.S. release date remains pending, the film’s presence at TIFF provides an immediate platform for North American viewers to experience Huppert’s performance.
The deal, negotiated by Aaronson with Indie Sales, positions the film for a potential theatrical or festival circuit rollout in the United States, though distribution specifics are yet to be finalized.
The film’s premiere at Toronto offers both a launchpad for critics and an opportunity for audiences to witness Huppert’s celebrated talent in a fresh, comedic context.
With Huppert also being honored with the TIFF Tribute Performer Award, the festival is poised to become a pivotal moment for *All About Corinne* and its creators. Fans and industry insiders alike will be watching closely as the film begins its North American journey.
